The Citizenship model in Indonesia is an oppositional hybrid between liberal and communitarian values so it is rightly called the denizenship model.
Indonesia is a hybrid of liberal and communitarian paradigms, both of which actually work with opposite logic. With the denizenship model–that is, employing and contesting each other and being irreconcilable, it is clear the causes of various polemics and dilemmas in the power relations between the state and citizens in Indonesia.
