In the context of the government system, the king as the owner of absolute power has increasingly shifted his position in the era of democratization that has occurred since the 1940s. In fact, many countries with a monarchical system of government must adapt to the times by adopting a democratic system. In Indonesia, the inclusion of democratic values was actually brought by a feudal figure who was considered to be contrary to democracy, namely Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX, King of the Yogyakarta Palace.
